We rate all 17 players from the defeated Blues side after State of Origin Game Three.

Jarryd Hayne – Safe under pressure. However he was mostly contained by the swarming Maroons defence. Stunning try-saving tackle on Corey Parker on the Blues' line late in the first half. Made a couple of busts in the second half (and 142 metres overall) but was unable to find the room he needed to influence proceedings. 7.

James McManus – Good try save on Greg Inglis early in first half. Rarely sighted beyond that, making just two tackles and 38 metres. 5.

Josh Morris – Clearly struggled to move freely with his knee injury. Thirteen tackles, just 27 metres from seven touches. 5.

Josh Dugan – Made a few pressure-relieving runs at first receiver in the first half.  Great counter attack on 21-minute mark. Good finish to score NSW's try.Tried hard every time he got the ball. Clawed out 115 metres with 15 tackles. 7.

Daniel Tupou – Didn't see much action, full stop. After three subdued games there has to be a question mark over his retention in 2015. 4.

Josh Reynolds – Made nine metres in territory - to go with a woeful nine missed tackles. Tried hard in attack as a distributor but proved a liability trying to stop the Queensland juggernaut. Set to miss a few weeks after a shoulder charge. 4.

Trent Hodkinson – Was bustled out of proceedings and found it tough defending against the advancing mass of Maroon. Five missed tackles. Was felled illegally by Te'o midway through the first half and didn't recover.  5.

Paul Gallen – Herculean as ever.  The Blues' pack could have done with five other Gallens. Made 135 metres and 35 tackles in around 65 minutes of game time. No surprise he was named Man of the Series. 7.

Robbie Farah – Picked up where he left off in Game 2 with a tireless effort, making a game-high 48 tackles. 7.

Aaron Woods – Not a lot of impact with the ball in hand (55 metres) but defensively sound in limited game time (18 tackles).  4.

Beau Scott – As ever was an enforcer in defence on the NSW right edge. Made a stunning try-saving tackle on Greg Inglis. 7.

Ryan Hoffman – Strong in the few opportunities he had to attack, clawing out a brave 117 metres, and was stoic in defence with 32 tackles. 7.

Greg Bird – Great aggression throughout. Made 16 hit-ups and 33 tackles, plonking a bunch of Maroons on their backside in copybook fashion, although one landed him in hot water with the judiciary. But the nature of the game meant he never got to assert his influence completely. 7.

James Tamou – Bitterly disappointing. Just 44 metres and 16 tackles from the Kangaroos bookend. Crucial miss on Daly Cherry-Evans that led to Queensland's first try. 4.

Trent Merrin – Along with Tamou responsible for missing Daly Cherry-Evans in the lead-up to the Maroons' first try. Limited game time and his offloading game - his strength - completely muzzled. Consequently he was just another player. 5.

Boyd Cordner – High rating for a player who played limited minutes. Hard to argue though, given he ran with venom for 83 metres and with 28 tackles. Phenomenal.  7.

Luke Lewis – Few silly penalties. Didn't get much of a chance to shine. 5.
