The 2014 end of season tournament features World Champions and Four Nations title holder Australia, co-hosts New Zealand, England and Samoa.

Suncorp Stadium will play host to the opening blockbuster with all four competing nations in a double-header which will see battles between Australia and New Zealand followed by England and Samoa.  Tickets start from just $95 for a family.

“As we all saw across this year’s Holden State of Orign Series, the atmosphere at Suncorp Stadium can be electric,” NRL Head of Commercial Mr Paul Kind said.

“Brisbane is a city that loves Rugby League and we are looking forward to bringing this great event to the Suncorp cauldron.

“In 2010 we hosted a double-header in New Zealand which was very well received and we are sure that Queensland fans will embrace the opportunity to see four great national teams kick-off the tournament.

“We have also worked to ensure that we have built family friendly deals into the tournament along with attractive offers for our club members.”

Minister for Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games Jann Stuckey said the Newman Government was proud to support Brisbane’s first ever rugby league Four Nations international double-header through Tourism and Events Queensland.

“Major fixtures like these further cement Queensland’s reputation as a premier sporting events destination and help drive repeat visitation to Brisbane,” Ms Stuckey said.

“The event is anticipated to bring 6000 interstate and overseas tourists to Queensland in October, as well as an estimated $4 million in visitor expenditure to the Queensland economy.”
