The Warriors have recruited former Shark Jonathan Wright.

Cronulla's playing stocks are set to cop a further battering, with centre Jonathan Wright set to be rubbed out for the rest of the year by a 3-5 week ban.

Wright is facing a minimum of three weeks on the sidelines for his Grade 3 Dangerous Throw Tackle on Raiders centre Jarrod Croker on Sunday. Should Wright contest the charge and be found guilty, the suspension will increase to five weeks.

Manly's Jason King is also facing a one-week suspension after being charged with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle in the Sea Eagles’ loss to Parramatta on Friday night.

King will miss Manly's Round 25 clash with Penrith if he accepts the early plea for his 42nd minute hit on Tepai Meroa, though he will not face any extra suspension if he contests the charge and loses.

Teammate Jorge Taufua will be free to play with an early guilty plea to a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge for using his feet to try and prevent Will Hopoate from scoring in the 56th minute.
