Retiring Manly prop Jason King is free to take part in his final game at Brookvale after being successful in getting a downgrade on his high tackle charge at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.
The news wasn't so good for Penrith, whose playing stocks have been dealt yet another blow after prop Jeremy Latimore failed to get a downgrade on his dangerous contact charge and will now miss two games.
Latimore had originally been hit with a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact - Unnecessary Head/Neck Pressure on Melbourne's Bryan Norrie last Monday night.
The impact prop had attempted to downgrade the charge in a bid to take the field against Manly on Sunday, but will now be out until the finals.
King was going to miss his farewell at Brookvale had he failed to downgrade his Grade 2 High Tackle - Careless
charge on Parramatta second-rower Tepai Moeroa last weekend but will now be clear to play.
King's team-mate Jorge Taufua will also be playing after accepting a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge for using his feet to try to prevent a try from Will Hopoate.
Latimore's team-mate, Adam Docker, will also take the field after taking the early guilty to plea on his Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge.
A fifth player charged by the match review committee, Cronulla's Johnathan Wright, will miss the rest of the year after accepting a three-week ban for a dangerous throw on Canberra's Jarrod Croker.
