The name's Walker, Dylan Walker.

With a shaken (not stirred) Powerade by his side, the South Sydney centre is doing everything in his power to pop up everywhere – a testament to his ability of scoring tries from all over the park.

After a stint at five-eighth earlier in the season Walker has settled in at right centre, blessed now with a license to roam in search of points with a clutch play or two up his sleeve.

Rabbitohs coach Michael Maguire, otherwise known as 'M', has credited the young 19-year-old's initiative in this department.

"He has been turning up on the other side of the field and I guess has created a lot of opportunities off the back of our forward pack," Maguire said following the Rabbitohs' win over the Sea Eagles a fortnight ago.

"To have the young guys doing what they're doing out on the edges it is a good addition to the way we have been playing."

With the phrase "full 80 minutes" tattooed on the Rabbitohs' brains after they gave up 24 straight points late in proceedings against the Sea Eagles in the first week of the finals, Walker says Souths "can't get away with it" again.

However, his next objective in South Sydney's mission towards premiership glory is recovering from an ankle complaint in time for this Friday night's preliminary final against the Roosters.

Bracing for an exciting match-up with star Tricolours centre Michael Jennings, Walker heads into the game with confidence on his side after showing up Sea Eagles counterpart Steve Matai in his last performance.

"When you're a young bloke like I am, you are trying to learn against the best and Matai is one of the best centres over the past 10 years so it is always good to test yourself," Walker said.

"He got me a few times out there but it is a confidence booster heading into further finals."

While confidence may be one thing, comfort is another.

With three finals games under his belt over the past two seasons, Walker feels he is now well-adjusted to the pressure of finals football after facing the disappointment of being eliminated from the competition at this point last year.

"Last year... I didn't take anything for granted but now I'm feeling a lot more comfortable within myself this time around," Walker said.

"I'm just treating [finals fixtures] just like any other game."
