The Titans have confirmed centre James Roberts was charged by police for an incident in Surfers Paradise last weekend.

Roberts was charged by police for committing a public nuisance and obstructing a police officer, the club said.

The NRL integrity unit was notified as soon as the club became aware of the charges, the Titans stated.

"We will continue to work through the issue with the NRL. There will be no further comment at this stage," the statement read.

Roberts has previously been released by the Rabbitohs and Panthers due to off-field incidents.
