The good news continues to roll in for the Cronulla Sharks with former Dragons coach Steve Price joining their coaching staff as an assistant coach.

With Cronulla commencing their pre-season training on Monday, the Sharks were buoyed by the presence of Price and the return of first-grade coach Shane Flanagan from his 11-month suspension.

"I'm excited about the opportunity and to be working with Shane, his staff and the playing group here at the Sharks," Price said. "Shane is looking to implement cultural change and I'm keen to be a part of that."

Flanagan added: "Steve is a great addition to our staff and I'm certainly looking forward to having him as my assistant coach and to working alongside him."

Price joins Flanagan and 2014 first grade interim coach James Shepherd on the Sharks coaching team, with Shepherd returning to the head coaching role of Cronulla's under-20's NYC team.
