Brisbane have confirmed the recruitment of Newcastle fullback Darius Boyd for the 2015 season.

Boyd, who debuted with the Broncos in 2006, has played his entire 204-game NRL career under incoming coach Wayne Bennett.

Bennett recently made public his intent to bring the Test and Origin winger back to Brisbane, and has cleared space in the roster by releasing other fullbacks Josh Hoffman (Titans) and Ben Barba (Sharks).

Broncos CEO Paul White said the club was excited to have finalised the arrangement.

"[Boyd] comes back to us now as one of the elite players of the competition. At age 27 he is at the top of the game and will bring us a point of difference with the skills he possesses," White said.

"Those skills will add to what is already an exciting and emerging array of backline talent at our club.

"We look forward to welcoming him to the club and supporting him in his development both on and off the field."

Boyd has won premierships with Brisbane (2006) and St George Illawarra (2010), winning the Clive Churchill Medal in the 2010 grand final. He has also racked up 20 Origin appearances for Queensland and 17 Tests for Australia.
