Panthers skipper Jamie Soward reacts to a decision in deflating loss to Manly.

Voting for the Indigenous All Stars team is open to the public and rugby league great Brad Fittler has already chosen his team, with Jamie Soward getting the nod to partner Johnathan Thurston in the halves.

Fittler opted for Soward over Parramatta's Chris Sandow, explaining that Soward was in great form for Penrith last season.

"He's been fantastic, he's had real control, he'll give JT a bit of breathing space as well. He's got a lovely left-foot kicking game, and they'd be a great balance on either side of the field. Both blokes are in the prime of their life," Fittler said.

"The attitude with which the Indigenous team has taken the field has, from my point of view, sold the event, and I think it will be no different this year."
