England RL Academy have drawn their series with the Australian Schoolboys, winning the second Test at Leigh 28-14.

The Australian Schoolboys were victorious in a hard-fought opening Test 22-18 but were overcome by an English onslaught early in the second half.

Tries to Latrell Mitchell (Roosters) and Ash Nisbet (Sharks) saw the Schoolboys trail just 10-8 at the half-time break but tries to England captain Jansin Turgut, Robbie Ward and Jack Johnson saw the home side extend their lead, a try to Wests Tiger Jacob Liddle keeping the Aussies in the mix at 28-14.

But they weren't able to peg back the deficit further and the England Academy held on for a convincing 14-point win.

It was the Schoolboys' first loss of their seven match tour of Europe with the team now moving on to France for games against the French under-19 and under-18 teams in the next week.
