From important club milestones to new and exciting eras, it has been a big week for rugby league.

Kevin Gordon hits the deck

The Titans players have joined AFL legend Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt in hosting BaseCamp next Friday, January 30, with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House. It is giving campers and footy fans the unique opportunity to spend a night on the turf at Cbus Super Stadium with the Titans to conduct a coaching clinic and help out with the camp out cooking. But the big ticket item? A special appearance by DJ Kilogram (aka Titans winger Kevin Gordon).

A day to remember

This year marks 20 years since the Cowboys’ admission into the National Rugby League and we loved this walk down memory lane courtesy of Cowboys fanatic Mick McLean. It shows the front page of the Townsville Bulletin following the team’s first victory on home soil, a 31-12 win over Western Suburbs in Round 15. We guarantee North Queensland fans won’t have to wait that long to watch their boys have a win in 2015.

Once were Warriors

The Warriors entered the competition 20 years ago on March 10, 1995 against the Brisbane Broncos. One fan has kept the innagural poster advertising the launch of a bold and exciting new era.

United Wests Tigers

The Wests Tigers launched their new campaign 'Unite Commit Achieve' with an amazing team poster available for download. If you are a Tigers fan, this is simply a must.

The NRL's newest columnist

We love to see players sharing their insights with members and fans and the Tigers' faithful are going to get to know rampaging forward Ava Seumanufagai a whole lot better in 2015. Ava has penned his first column on the Wests Tigers website this week where he says that his bench buddies from 2014 are ready to take it up a notch this year. "I’m really looking forward to trying to recapture what we had at the start of the year last year with myself, Marty [Taupau] and Jesse [Sauaso Sue] coming off the bench. We’re all big boys that come on, but we all have different things in our game — you see Marty has that explosive side in attack, Jesse is a really good defender in the middle."

Raiders' hard slog

The Canberra Raiders played a game of cricket during training this week, but apparently Josh Papalii's big hits are better suited on a rugby league field.

New era for Super League

The English Super League launched their new season with a cool ad campaign featuring genuine players, fans and club characters and the bond that exists between them. We strongly reccommend you check it out if you are a rugby league fan!
