The NRL and Rugby League Players Association will continue to work together to ensure player welfare remains a priority.

The RLPA on Friday presented to a meeting of CEOs from the Clubs and State Leagues, and NRL senior management in Auckland.

The Association put forward proposals aimed at giving players a strong work/life balance. This includes consideration of training and playing schedules.

The NRL said it welcomed ongoing input from the RLPA to help support players.

The RLPA is part of the game's Welfare & Education Committee, which is continually looking at best practice standards across player welfare and education.
