Referees boss Tony Archer has backed a number of disputed refereeing decisions from Round 1 of the NRL, but said the eight-point try awarded to the Warriors was not appropriate.

Some commentators have questioned whether Wests Tigers five-eighth Mitch Moses should have been sent from the field for a dramatic-looking high shot on Titan Will Zillman, as well as whether Sharks winger Sosaia Feki should have joined Jack Wighton in the sin-bin after retaliating to a punch.

However Archer backed both these calls, adding the officials also got a number of other tough decisions correct at key times.

In the video above, Archer goes through all the big calls from the round.
