The opening four rounds of the Telstra Premiership season have already provided plenty of exciting plays and outstanding rugby league moments.
Here are Home Timber and Hardware's Hard Plays of the Month for March!
Segeyaro's sizzling solo try
Panthers hooker James Segeyaro was in sensational form in the first three weeks of the season, before injury forced him out of Round 4. Segeyaro ran for 287 metres in three games, including 19 runs from dummy half.
His back-up play and speed off the mark came to the fore in his solo try against the Bulldogs in Round 1, with the Panthers going on to win 24-18.
Richards breaks their hearts
The Titans haven't had the happiest of starts to 2015 both on and off the field, and Tigers super-boot Pat Richards didn't help their cause with his match-winning field goal in Round 1.
With the clock ticking down at Cbus Super Stadium and scores locked at 18-all, the ball went to Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks on the left of the ruck. But Brooks passed to his right, finding Richards in perfect position to execute a 35-metre field goal to snatch victory in the 79th minute.
Unstoppable Sandow
Another player who has shown good early-season form is Parramatta halfback Chris Sandow. The Eels tore the Sea Eagles apart in Round 1, with Sandow and fellow half Corey Norman pulling all the right strings.
In this play, Sandow chipped over the top on last tackle, regathered with his right hand, drew the defence, passed to his left to Norman who found Brad Takairangi for the try.
Rabbitohs Race Away
It almost wouldn't be a Plays of the Month highlight reel without the brilliance of South Sydney fullback Greg Inglis. In Round 2, the Rabbitohs took on the Roosters in an NRL blockbuster with the home side getting out to a 12-0 lead thanks to some Inglis magic.
The Queensland Origin star collected the ball in his own in-goal area, close to the dead-ball line. After evading the first Roosters chaser, he broke two tackles before finding speedster Alex Johnston on his outside who ran the length of the field to score.
The Best in the Game
If you thought Pat Richards' match-winning field goal was good, then Johnathan Thurston's effort in extra time against the Storm in Round 4 was amazing.
The Cowboys captain had earlier kicked a conversion from the sideline to send the match into golden point, before icing the win with a deft field goal. Thurston had a quiet start to the season but stood up when it counted, when the Cowboys were staring at four losses from their first four matches. It is this kind of leadership and committment that makes a Home Timber & Hardware Hard Play of the Month.
