On an Easter weekend when controversy reigned, wingers earned man-of-the-match honours, the Raiders dominated and the Dragons won their third straight in the Hunter's version of a Wet 'N' Wild theme park, this is NRL.com's Team of the Week.

1. Josh Dugan (Dragons)

Along with five-eighth Gareth Widdop – who just missed out on a Team of the Week berth this week – fullback Dugan controlled the Dragons' attack in what were trying conditions in Newcastle. His try late on in proceedings against Newcastle sealed the Red V's third-straight win.

2. Pat Richards (Wests Tigers)

It's not often a winger completely turns a game around for his team but Richards did just that for the Tigers, with two try assists from kicks and a 10-point haul in his team's comeback win over Parramatta.

3. Josh Morris (Bulldogs)

Although he conceded a penalty that led to an eight-point try for the Rabbitohs, Morris's contribution to the Bulldogs' efforts made up for it. His second try in two weeks, three tackle busts and 163 metres lifted his team after the loss of fellow centre Tim Lafai who went off injured midway through proceedings.

4. Tautau Moga (Cowboys)

Moga made Penrith's left-edge defence look second rate with his bullocking runs, making 98 metres and setting up two tries. He also didn't miss a tackle all night.

5. Marika Koroibete (Storm)

Koroibete was the second winger of the round to earn man-of-match honours following Melbourne's 16-point win over the Warriors. The Fijian flyer crossed for two tries, busted six tackles and made over 200 metres.

6. Jack Bird (Sharks)

The highly-rated rookie has given Sharks coach Shane Flanagan plenty of headaches when it comes to including Ben Barba in his 17 following his man-of-the-match performance against the Roosters on Easter Sunday. In just his second NRL game, Bird scored twice, set up another and broke seven tackles in the Sharks' first win of the year.

7. Johnathan Thurston (Cowboys)

The Queensland and Australian half put on a masterclass out Penrith way on Monday. North Queensland's second-straight win coincided with Thurston setting up three tries in the Cowboys' ambush of the Panthers.

8. Josh McGuire (Broncos)

The consistent prop kept his good form up against the Titans, producing 117 metres and 37 tackles in the Broncos' 10-point win.

9. Josh Hodgson (Raiders)

A defensive rock in the middle of the paddock, Hodgson kept the ball rolling for the Raiders and set up a try in their 13-point win over the Sea Eagles.

10. David Klemmer (Bulldogs)

While what happened at the end of the Bulldogs' Good Friday clash with the Rabbitohs was unfortunate – which Klemmer has paid the price for – the rampaging prop's 220 metres and five tackle busts can't be ignored so he makes our best 17 of the week.

11. Jarrad Kennedy (Raiders)

The Raiders back-rower picked up one of everything against the Sea Eagles on Easter Saturday with a try, try assist, line break and a line break assist. He didn't shirk the work either, ending the game with 126 metres and 40 tackles.

12. Tyson Frizell (Dragons)

After leaving the field for a concussion test early on in the game, Frizell bounced back with a commendable 102 metres and 40 tackles to help carry the Dragons to victory on a miserable Newcastle night.

13. Shaun Fensom (Raiders)

The Fensom many NRL Fantasy coaches have come to love over the years is slowly getting back to where he was before he ruptured his ACL last season. The Raiders lock made 50 tackles and ran 147 metres in Canberra's win over Manly.

14. Blake Austin (Raiders)

An inspiration for the Raiders in all facets of the game, Austin put forward his best performance for the Green Machine to date. The five-eighth set up two tries, saved two more and scored one himself to outshine star Sea Eagles halves Daly Cherry-Evans and Kieran Foran.

15. Chris McQueen (Rabbitohs)

The only South Sydney forward to play the entire 80 minutes, McQueen lifted when it mattered for the Rabbitohs with 60 metres and 28 tackles.

16. Ryan James (Titans)

James continued pushing his claim for a Country Origin jumper with his try, 178 metres and 28 tackles against Brisbane showing once again what he's made of.

17. Paul Gallen (Sharks)

In just 55 minutes, the Sharks captain made 243 metres and 27 tackles, and showed no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
