Departing Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans was a stand-out performer in his side's Round 2 win over Melbourne Storm.

The Gold Coast Titans have issued a statement regarding the future of Daly Cherry-Evans at the club following reports he was considering reneging on the four-year deal to stay with the Sea Eagles.

"Following media speculation over the last few hours I have spoken directly with Gavin Orr and Chris Orr of Pacific Sports Management," said Titans CEO Graham Annesley on Thursday evening.

"I have been assured that any suggestion Daly Cherry-Evans will not be honouring his contract with the Titans is untrue."

The club said it will make no further comment at this stage.
