The Brisbane Broncos have locked up an important piece of their future with the re-signing of boom prop Joe Ofahengaue.

The 19-year-old Junior Kangaroos representative has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at the Broncos until at least the end of the 2017 season.

Ofahengaue was hot property on the open market, especially after making his NRL debut as a teenager in round two this year.

Many players make NRL debuts in their teens, but few while playing front row.
