Prop Dave Tyrrell was disappointed with the performance of the Rabbitohs in Round 14.

After his side was thoroughly outplayed on Friday night, Rabbitohs prop David Tyrrell has said the result is a wake-up call for his side.

"It's pretty disappointing," Tyrrell told NRL.com.

"I think it's a bit of a wake-up call for us. We didn't turn up with the right attitude and we've got to do that each week."

After the game, Michael Maguire said his side's energy was the difference, asserting that: "Right from the start of the game our energy wasn't there."

And the Bunnies' starting prop Tyrrell accepted it wasn't where it had to be at.

"There were things we didn't do well and energy contributes to that so we've got to be fired up and ready to go right from the start," he said.

Tyrrell also noted the importance of Adam Reynolds's return for Souths, given the halfback's influence on the team.

"He's really structured and gives us a real control in the middle there, but I guess it's hard to really judge how he came back tonight because we just didn't play well."
