The Blues may have named an unchanged Origin side for the first time in 19 years but it was very much a new-look NSW team that got their third Coffs Harbour training camp underway on Wednesday morning.

With hooker Robbie Farah staying in Sydney on Tuesday night to have a plate and screw inserted into a fractured hand in a desperate bid to be fit for next Wednesday's highly-anticipated Suncorp Stadium decider, a host of shadow players have been brought into camp.

Melbourne utility Ryan Hinchcliffe trained at hooker for the first session with Bulldogs five-eighth and 2014 NSW series-winner Josh Reynolds also on hand for the session.

Newcastle centre Sione Mata'utia and back-rower Tariq Sims are also with the group, with their club on the bye this weekend.

Sharks hooker and former Origin player Michael Ennis will front the judiciary in Sydney on Wednesday night as he looks to beat a grade one careless high tackle charge, which will rub him out of this weekend's visit to Brookvale with or without an early plea unless he is successful in his challenge.

Ennis is expected to join the Blues squad as cover for Farah tomorrow regardless of the outcome, given he can serve the ban if it arises in the Sharks' game against Manly then line up for the Blues on Wednesday.

With Ennis generally playing a full 80 minutes at Cronulla and Blues coach Laurie Daley reluctant to make mass changes to a winning side it is unlikely Hinchcliffe or Reynolds will be used on Wednesday night.
