Should he be required in Wednesday's decider, Blues hooker Michael Ennis is ready to go according to captain Paul Gallen.

Michael Ennis will make his first appearance for NSW since 2011 as a late replacement for injured hooker Robbie Farah.

Ennis, 31, last played for the Blues in Queensland's 2-1 series win four years ago, but skipper Paul Gallen is expecting big things from his Sharks teammate.

"He's just a competitor. He's got more talk than niggle and he'll be great," Gallen said.

"He's been great from day one [of camp]. He hasn't been shy, he's really stepped up and been somewhat of a leader around the side as well, as he is in all sides and he'll be fine."
