Throughout Men of League Heritage Round, the NRL will be raising funds for the NRL Foundation and the RiseForAlex Fund.
The NRL Foundation provides assistance to players who sustain catastrophic spinal injuries playing rugby league. The Foundation is in partnership with Spinal Cord Injuries Australia, who support players and their families impacted by catastrophic spinal injuries.
The RiseForAlex Fund was established to provide assistance to Alex McKinnon, a Newcastle Knights professional rugby league player, who suffered a devastating spinal injury in a rugby league tackle in March 2014. The NRL has provided and continues to provide support to Alex in his rehabilitation journey.
The NRL will be raising funds in two ways during Men of League Heritage Round, with all funds raised split evenly between the NRL Foundation and the RiseForAlex Fund.
The NRL will donate $1 for every match attendee at a game during the round.
The NRL is running an online auction during Men of League Heritage Round, with fans able to bid for unique memorabilia, VIP match day experiences and more. You can bid for a piece of club history and show your support for the Foundation and Alex McKinnon at:
