Semi Radradra broke the Eels' try-scoring record with a double against the Raiders in Round 26.

Radradra's record day

Parramatta cult hero and try-scoring freak Semi Radradra has reflected on a record-breaking day, after scoring two tries to beat Steve Ella's club record of tries in a season set in 1982.

The flying Fijian who scored either side of half-time in the Eels' golden-point loss to the Raiders finished the season on 24 tries, and will likely finish the season as the NRL's top try-scorer as well.

"It was good, really good to break the record from the legend Steve Ella, credit to the boys in the middle," Radradra said.

"I was happy to score a couple today, we'll see what happens with the record for the season."

The 23-year-old from Fiji now turns his focus to an improved 2016 season after the Eels finished a disappointing 2015 campaign on Sunday.

"It was disappointing to lose late on, but we're just trying hard to be better next year," he said.

"It will be good to us to get [Kieran] Foran here, and we've got a couple of other good signings coming too, the boys will be training really hard."
