The following Awards are presented on the night:

NRL stars including Paul Gallen, George Rose and 2015 Ken Stephen Medal winner Luke Douglas will join Rugby League's grassroots heroes from across the nation at the NRL Community and Player Education Awards at Sheraton on the Park tonight.

Now in its ninth year, the awards recognise Rugby League's 'behind the scenes heroes' for the tireless work they do to support the game they love. From volunteer coaches and teachers, to players at first-grade level, the awards honour, reflect and congratulate those who make a positive difference for many in their communities.

This year, the award categories have been expanded to encompass player education, recognising players achieving academic excellence and commitment to furthering their careers off the field.

In a special appearance, Australian and international superstar Jessica Mauboy will attend and perform at the awards, ahead of performing the national anthem at the NRL Telstra Premiership Grand Final and watching her beloved Cowboys.
