Cheyse Blair is hoping to play himself into a Round 1 jersey when he faces his old club the Roosters in Gosford this weekend.

The Melbourne Storm have signed Manly outside back Cheyse Blair for the 2016 season.

Blair, 23, has made 44 NRL appearances across stints at Parramatta and the Sea Eagles and is a former Kangaroos schoolboy.

"Cheyse is a great signing for the club, is versatility will add further depth to our squad and he has great size and speed," Storm football director Frank Ponissi said.
