Representative Round Results:

Fiji 22 defeated Papua New Guinea 10
Samoa 18 defeated Tonga 16
Country Origin 34 defeated City Origin 22
New Zealand 26 defeated Australia 12

Representative Round managed to get off to a false start when torrential weather saw Friday night's Test between Australia and New Zealand sensationally cancelled due to the safety concerns of fans travelling to Suncorp Stadium – not to mention the flooded surface, hectic rain and lightning. Come the rescheduled Sunday afternoon timeslot it was the Kiwis who reasserted their dominance over Australia – winning a third straight Test against the Kangaroos for the first time since 1953. Fiji and Samoa were also successful in their respective Tests against PNG and Tonga, with Samoans Sam Kasiano and Frank Pritchard pulling off a huge try-saving tackle to help clinch victory for their country – the biggest highlight of the weekend. Meanwhile in Wagga Wagga, a hat-trick from City halfback Blake Austin wasn't enough to give his side the win over James Maloney and his Country Origin team.
