Cowboys 36 defeated Eels 30

The Cowboys completed one of the season's remarkable comebacks when they came from 24 points down to sink the Eels 36-30. It would come off the back of Johnathan Thurston's sound direction and leadership and hat-trick hero back-rower Gavin Cooper. The Broncos, Rabbitohs and Raiders all won big against the Sea Eagles, Warriors and Knights respectively, while the Storm shut out the Panthers at the foot of the mountains. The Sharks maintained their status as the Roosters' bogey team while the Bulldogs were able to secure an unlikely victory over the Red V when Josh Reynolds turned the game on its head from the bench, at the expense of New South Wales halfback Trent Hodkinson.
