Controversy reared its head in the nation's capital but it didn't dampen the Sharks' spirits who through a Valentine Holmes field goal secured the points against the Raiders in golden point extra time. The Knights ended a seven-game losing streak by demolishing the Titans. Speaking of losing streaks the Rabbitohs furthered the Red V's woes when they were resigned to their sixth consecutive loss. The Warriors blew their chance to solidify their place in the top four while a Lachlan Maranta hat-trick downed a hearty Wests Tigers outfit. Not so hearty were the Panthers who headed down to Melbourne to get smashed by a Cooper Cronk-led Storm outfit.
