If England coach Steve McNamara is shown on television during the opening New Zealand Test with his head in his hands, don't automatically assume his team is struggling.

"It's cost me a fortune, tickets," says McNamara, a Hull local.

"The Olympic Stadium Test will be a lot cheaper."

The Sydney Roosters assistant coach has booked top tier tickets for a group of his friends at more than 100 pounds per head

"And they've not paid me yet!" he says. "That's my biggest worry this weekend.  So if I look upset on Sunday in the stands, you'll know why."

England flogged New Zealand 28-6 in their last meeting at KC Stadium, during the 2011 Four Nations

McNamara said: "It's exciting playing playing on home soil. It's our first time in two years. The Test against France, it was Sean O'Loughlin's first as captain on home soil."
