Sam Burgess: Burgess was an absolute Fantasy monster in leading the Rabbitohs to their long-awaited NRL premiership in 2014, scoring 62 points a game in that season. After a year in English rugby union Burgess has been given a discount in 2016 (his break even will be about 55 in Round 1) but he remains Souths' most expensive Fantasy player. He makes a lot of metres and tackles, breaks the line and scores tries and will be in a lot of Fantasy teams this year.
Adam Reynolds: The Rabbitohs halfback made a superb start to 2015, leading his team to World Club Challenge and Auckland Nines honours before scoring at least 59 points in five of his first six NRL games. But injuries ruled him out of the middle stretch of the season and he wasn't quite at his best after that. Assuming he can regain his old form he looks decent value at $447,000.
George Burgess: Didn't quite step into his big brother's shoes last year but still managed to score 50 points a game, with a few devastating performances thanks to one of the most powerful running games in the business. That's not likely to change much this year.
Wild card
Greg Inglis: The Kangaroos superstar was hampered by injury and the new responsibilities of the captaincy last season, but was still a little disappointing for those who splashed out the big bucks to buy him. He remains arguably the most talented player in the game and at $401,000 won't break the bank if you want a fullback that comes cheaper than last year's breakout stars Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and James Tedesco.
Cash cow
Kirisome Auva'a: Four underwhelming appearances at the end of 2015 means Auva'a starts the new season with a price tag of just $139,000 and a break even of about 16, well below his 2014 average score of 32. The departure of Dylan Walker means Auva'a is likely to start in the centres, and his combination of NRL experience with a bargain-basement price makes him a tempting cash cow option.
