Corey Norman takes on the Broncos line in Round 1.

Parramatta playmaker Corey Norman is expected to return to the field next week after scans revealed no serious injury from an incident in his side's first-up loss to the Broncos on Thursday night.

Norman has been diagnosed with sprained ligaments and should be fit to play in the Eels' Round 2 match with the North Queensland Cowboys at Pirtek Stadium.

Halves partner Kieran Foran is also on track to make his Parramatta debut in Round 2 after missing the season-opener with a recurring hamstring injury.
