Dominant halves, terrific Tigers, try-scoring forwards and rampant Rabbitohs headline NRL.com's Round 2 Team of the Week.
1. James Tedesco (Wests Tigers, captain)
You can't doubt that on current form Tedesco is one of the NRL's best at the moment. The Wests Tigers fullback scored a hat-trick, set up another try and broke eight tackles in his side's 14-point win over the Sea Eagles.
2. Corey Oates (Broncos)
Oates may miss the next few weeks with a shoulder injury but he still managed to dominate the Warriors' right-edge with another barnstorming try in Brisbane's 15-point win.
3. Bryson Goodwin (Rabbitohs)
One of the form centres in the competition, Goodwin scored two tries and provided two try assists in the Rabbitohs' 42-point thrashing of Newcastle.
4. Kevin Naiqama (Wests Tigers)
If Tedesco was the man of the match then Naiqama would have been a close second in the Tigers' win over Manly. The centre made the opposition defence look silly on several occasions, finishing with a try and two try assists for his efforts.
5. Aaron Gray (Rabbitohs)
Try-scoring treble aside, Gray's ability to prevent several Newcastle repeat sets was just as impressive in the Rabbitohs' huge win.
6. Corey Norman (Eels)
The Eels five-eighth's terrific kicking game kept the Cowboys on the back foot the entire game in Parramatta's four-point upset win over the premiers.
7. Moses Mbye (Bulldogs)
Mbye was the hero in the Bulldogs' late two-point win over the Panthers with his two tries – including the match-winner – and a try assist instrumental in the victory.
8. Jesse Bromwich (Storm)
Bromwich kept the ball rolling for the Storm in their 18-point victory over the Titans in a typically strong performance.
9. Cameron Smith (Storm)
A classic showing from the Melbourne skipper against the Titans, providing a try assist and 40 tackles and proving why he's still the best hooker in the world.
10. James Graham (Bulldogs)
Aiden Tolman's concussion in the first quarter of the game saw Graham shoulder extra responsibility, and he finished proceedings with 142 metres and 46 tackles.
11. Josh Papalii (Raiders)
The Raiders snatched a late one-point victory over the Roosters thanks in part to Papalii's try-scoring double.
12. Matt Gillett (Broncos)
Brisbane's Mr Reliable was one his side's best on Friday night, scoring one try and breaking three tackles.
13. Sam Burgess (Rabbitohs)
A class above the Knights' forwards Burgess's nine offloads played a big part in his bruising performance.

14. Chad Townsend (Sharks)
Townsend capped off his return to Shark Park by producing a try and two try assists in Cronulla's 28-point win over local rivals St George Illawarra.
15. Sam McKendry (Panthers)
Scored a try in the first 10 minutes and played a big part in the Panthers' domination of the Bulldogs for the most part despite the disappointing end result.
16. Martin Taupau (Sea Eagles)
Taupau was the Sea Eagles' best in their loss to the Tigers thanks to his try, three line breaks and 11 tackle busts against his old team.
17. Kenny Edwards (Eels)
Scored a crucial try just before half-time and was one of the Eels' best in their upset victory over reigning premiers North Queensland.
