Bulldogs prop Aiden Tolman believes milestone games for Josh Reynolds and Josh Morris in their Good Friday clash with the Rabbitohs will offer the club an extra boost of motivation.
Morris will celebrate his 200th NRL game against the Rabbitohs while Tony Williams (150th game) and Chase Stanley (100th game) will rack up their respective achievements in Round 5.
For Reynolds, a local Bulldogs junior who'll celebrate his 100th NRL game on Friday, the moment will be extra special
"It's a little extra motivation we can play for. When it's a milestone game we players definitely lift and I think we want to give them the result that they want. It's obviously a win for all of us," Tolman said.
"[Reynolds] is a Canterbury junior and been a great servant for the club. He's played his entire career here so hopefully we can give him a win that he deserves.
"It's something special for them, and something that should be special for us as well. I think every club gets up for a milestone game.
"You saw the Dragons with Jason Nightingale's 200th over the weekend and they came up with a win against the odds. They deserved it but I think everyone before the game wrote them off. Those little things definitely give you a lift."
Morris was excited for his fellow milestone man, especially with what he's been able to achieve in such a short space of time.
Reynolds has managed four games for New South Wales so far, and featured in the Bulldogs' grand final appearances in 2012 and 2014.
"It's a good achievement for Grub. He's obviously had his dramas here and there with injuries and suspensions but to play 100 games it should be something he should be proud of," Morris said.
"You have to take the good with the bad. It's good to see Grub this year, I think he's matured a lot as a playmaker. In the first two games he really controlled things well and probably got us back into it in that Penrith game [in Round 2].
"He's showing some good signs of maturity there and I'm really happy to see how he's coming along. He's a wonderful competitor and we all love having Grub in the team because what he brings to the table is invaluable."
Veteran campaigner Sam Perrett is excited to see what is to come in the 26-year-old's career.
"He's an awesome player," Perrett said. "With more experience and more time he will only get better. He'll only get wiser too.
"It's real exciting to see where he's going to take his football to. They have had a fantastic start to the season our halves so I'm excited to see where Josh can go with it."
