Raiders centre Joey Leilua has been found not guilty for a contrary conduct charge on Dylan Napa in Canberra's clash with the Roosters a fortnight ago.

While he avoided a one-week suspension, Leilua will still miss Canberra's clash with the Titans on Saturday afternoon after copping a two-game suspension from the same game following a dangerous throw on Shaun Kenny-Dowall.

Leilua's defence argued Leilua acted out of frustration and swatted Napa from the ground rather than punching him following a high shot from the Roosters prop.

Leilua was sin-binned following the incident in the 65th minute of the Raiders' 21-20 win, his defence also arguing that the 10 minutes on the sideline sufficed as punishment.

The prosecution used the footage alone as evidence, arguing Leilua's conduct wasn't in the "spirit of the game".

"It was in the heat of moment, and I was sin-binned. That's where it should have been left. I think common sense prevailed," Leilua said afterwards.

Leilua will now return for the Raiders' clash with the Bulldogs at Belmore Sportsground in Round 5.

"I just have to get through one more week. [Belmore] is like home to me too," he said.

"I only lived down the road at Arncliffe so my whole family will be there and I can't way to play."
