A year and a day after their Good Friday clash with the Rabbitohs was marred by crowd trouble, the Bulldogs are again dealing with a fan who is alleged to have launched a glass bottle in the vicinity of the Canberra bench during Monday night's clash at Belmore Sports Ground.

The incident came on the back of Josh Jackson's sin-binning midway through the second half, and spoiled what had been a terrific atmosphere created by the 13,463-strong crowd.

Bulldogs officials are confident they have identified the alleged perpetrator who was reportedly taken away by police for further questioning.

Bulldogs CEO Raelene Castle was happy with the swift response, and assured fans this type of anti-social behaviour would not be tolerated by the club.

"We've identified the individual and the fans have helped us identify who that person is and they're speaking to that person," Castle said.

"It's not acceptable. Absolutely not acceptable. We'll be doing all we can to make sure that we communicate with our fans that that behaviour is not acceptable.

"They can't get glass into that place unless you've snuck it in. I can only assume that person has snuck it in. We believe we know who the person is."

The glass bottle is believed to have smashed into an exercise bike, fortunately missing the Canberra bench.

Raiders coach and former Bulldogs halfback Ricky Stuart said Canterbury had handled the situation well.

"The Bulldogs have dealt with it very professionally," Stuart said.

"The police have done a great job and they'll handle it from there. Canterbury are a great club and they've jumped onto that very well and you don't need those types of supporters at our game."
