Wests Tigers centre Tim Simona will head to the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night, electing to challenge the grading of his dangerous contact charge from Round 5.
Simona was charged with a grade two dangerous contact - head/neck charge for a tackle on Cronulla's Jack Bird late in the Sharks' win over the Tigers on Saturday.
If the charge is downgraded, Simona will be free to face the Knights in Round 6 but faces a three-match ban if unsuccessful. He will face the NRL Judiciary at 6.00pm on Wednesday night.
Bulldogs forward Tony Williams has been charged with grade one tripping in his side's loss to the Raiders at Belmore on Monday night. A grade one tripping charge carries a base penalty of 75 points, with a 25 per cent discount to 56 points for an early guilty plea. Williams has taken an early guilty plea and will not miss a match.
