Dragons captain Gareth Widdop in action against the Broncos in Round 6.

St George Illawarra captain Gareth Widdop has been charged for tripping, the only player cited by the NRL match review committee from the opening match of Round 6 on Thursday night.

Widdop was charged for an incident involving Broncos winger Jordan Kahu in the 19th minute of the Dragons' loss at Suncorp Stadium, but due to the nature of the charge and a previous clean record, the Red V five-eighth won't miss any game time with an early guilty plea.
