Roosters winger Brendan Elliot continues to impress early in his first grade career.

Sydney Roosters player Brendan Elliot has been granted an immediate release from his contract to take up an opportunity with another NRL club.

Sydney Roosters Recruitment Manager, Peter O'Sullivan, said: "Brendan has a lot to offer the NRL and the club's decision to grant him an immediate release has been based on what we consider to be in the best interests of helping him secure a regular first grade position."

Sydney Roosters Head Coach, Trent Robinson, thanked Elliot for his contribution to the club.

"Brendan has made a significant contribution to our team over the last two years and I've enjoyed coaching him," said Robinson.

"Brendan will always have many friends at the Roosters, and I know I speak on behalf of everyone at the Club in wishing him all the very best," he added.

22 year-old Elliot has played 14 NRL games with the Roosters since making his first grade debut with the club in Round 17 of the 2014 season.
