The Sydney Roosters have announced that winger Joe Burgess is to be granted an early release from his contract.
Burgess will be returning to England where he has signed with his former club, the Wigan Warriors commencing 2017.
"Joe joined us excited to have the opportunity to test himself in the NRL and to live in Sydney, but he has cited the challenge of being away from home as an ongoing factor, so we have granted a release for season's end," said Roosters recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan.
"Looking ahead, we wish Joe all the very best."
