Storm prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona has been ruled out for up to two months with a knee injury.

The Storm have been hit with another injury on the eve of one of their biggest games of the season with forward Nelson Asofa-Solomona ruled out for up to eight weeks with a knee injury.

Asofa-Solomona tore his Posterior Cruciate Ligament in Sunday's win over the Wests Tigers and now joins fellow big man Tim Glasby on the club's growing injury list.

"We knew he'd done something, but we weren’t quite sure how bad it was. It's not great, but that's the news so hopefully it won't be any longer than first thought," Bellamy said.

"I can't remember the last time we had such a bad injury run as we've had this year. We were untouched in the forwards and now we've lost Tim and Nelson who have been tremendous for us."

With Asofa-Solomona and Glasby facing extended periods on the sidelines, the Storm are hopeful that Cameron Munster and Blake Green will recover from their injuries in time to take the field on Friday night.

Munster has missed the previous two matches with an ankle injury and Green the past three through a calf problem, but Bellamy has admitted he'll look to take a more careful approach in welcoming them back to the first grade.

"We're probably more hopeful than confident [that they'll play this week]. With the five-day turnaround it’s a bit hard, if we were to play a couple of days later they could be a better chance," Bellamy said.

"At the end of the day we'd like them to be ready, especially because they would get the weekend off after, but having said that if they aren’t ready I don’t want to take the chance. Unless they're 100 per cent ready to go, we'll probably stick with the guys we had last week.

"We don’t want to take the chance of them being out for another 3-4 weeks, we're stretched without them now so we don’t want to be stretched especially after the Origin period, so we'll take the conservative route there."

With all of the injuries ahead of the Storm's clash with the Broncos at Suncorp stadium on Friday night, it opens the door for a club debut for prop Matt White.

The 32-year-old joined the Storm in the off-season after playing 153 first grade games with the Titans and the Knights, and Bellamy believes that White has done enough to deserve the call-up.

"He's been really unlucky, but with Nelson's injury he'll be a really good chance of coming in. Hopefully for Matt's sake he'll get a run this week, he's been really good in our feeder teams and he trains hard, so it'll be nice to see him get a start soon at some stage," Bellamy said.
