Friday 29th July marks White Ribbon Night - an initiative that aims to raise vital funds for White Ribbon Australia.

Violence against women is a serious problem in Australia. We like to think family, friends, colleagues and neighbours are safe at home. This is a basic human right. But sadly, for many, this is not the case. Domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness for women and their children.

To help raise vital funds to ensure prevention programs continue, the NRL will be hosting a staff 'Have a Night In, To Get The Word Out' event and encourage all NRL clubs and supporters to do the same. Anyone can host an event, and it can be as easy as watching the game with mates and donating per point scored. To find out more information or register your own event head to whiteribbon.org.au

The NRL is also encouraging all staff, NRL Clubs and supporters to:

• Donate at as part of their own 'Have a night in, to get the word out' event

• Purchase a White Ribbon from any participating outlets

• Donate by heading to the NRL donation page

All donations over $2 are tax deductible so please give generously.
