A resilient Parramatta Eels stole a 10-9 win that all but ended Manly's finals hopes in a low-scoring thriller at Pirtek Stadium on Friday night.

A crucial charge down from Sam Kasiano swung the game Canterbury's way as the Bulldogs ran out 28-14 winners over the Knights in Newcastle on Saturday.

Star hooker Josh Hodgson has inspired the Canberra Raiders to a 30-14 win over the league-leading Sharks in Cronulla on Saturday night.

Storm v Rabbitohs

South Sydney pushed them all the way but Melbourne escaped with a 15-14 golden point win over the Rabbitohs in a thriller at AAMI Park on Saturday night.

Titans v Warriors

All eyes were on Jarryd Hayne's NRL return and while the Titans' new signing looked every bit a superstar in his first game back, it wasn't enough to beat a classy Warriors side who cemented their place in the top eight. Two length of the field intercepts changed the course of the game to give the Warriors a vital victory in the race to the finals.

Wests Tigers v Cowboys

A spirited 80 minutes from the Wests Tigers earned them a top-eighth berth after upsetting North Queensland 26-14 at Leichhardt Oval. The Tigers played with controlled agression and passion, overwhelming the reigning premiers.

Panthers v Roosters 

The Penrith Panthers moved back into the NRL Telstra Premiership top eight with a commanding 38-18 victory over the Roosters at Pepper Stadium. Mitch Pearce was a late withdrawal from the match and the Panthers lead brilliantly by youngster Nathan Cleary showed no mercy.
