Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs winger Sam Perrett announced on Wednesday that he will retire from rugby league at the end of the season.
Perrett has played 13 seasons of rugby league for both the Sydney Roosters (2004-12) and Bulldogs (2012-16), running out on 254 occasions and has also scored 90 tries during his decorated career.
On top of his appearances at club level, the 31-year-old has also represented the New Zealand Kiwis on 21 occasions from 2007-13.
During his time in the blue and white, Perrett has played 106 games and he is looking to finish season 2016 on a high.
"It's been a tough decision and an emotional one, but it's time for me to hang up the boots," Perrett said.
"This year will be my last season playing rugby league and it's been such an amazing journey.
"I'm so grateful and thankful for the relationships that I have, the teammates I have played alongside and against, the coaching staff that have helped me along the way and my family for everything they've gone through."
