Tyrone Peachey all smiles after scoring a try against the Roosters.

There were some breathtaking moments in Round 23 and there are bound to be more in Round 24 but what are the craziest things the NRL's top players have seen on a footy field?

Greg Bird (Titans)

Probably a streaker in Origin coming down the field [in Game Three, 2013]. That was probably the weirdest thing I've seen. I spotted him when he was crossing the 20-metre line. They were attacking our try-line and he came into everyone's view and I think everyone stopped. I think they scored but half the players stopped to look at this big fella running through the field with no clothes on. That was different.

Tyrone Peachey (Panthers)

I remember playing in the juniors when my boot fell off and some other bloke grabbed my boot and started undoing all the laces. He stole my lace and then just gave me the boot back.

Albert Vete (Warriors)

I saw a mum walk on to the field with her umbrella once to have a go at someone when I was a kid. It wasn't good and we want to see that out of our game, but that was a pretty crazy thing to witness.

Jake Friend (Roosters)

The weirdest one this year was definitely Blake Ferguson pulling Connor Watson's pants up for him in the in-goal. That was pretty strange and I'm pretty sure I've never seen that on a footy field before.

Ashley Taylor (Titans)

I don't know how weird it is but growing up in St George we had to play on fields with rocks and burrs on the ground. I never saw it once we moved to Toowoomba or anything but in St George there were rocks and burrs everywhere, and we were playing in bare feet. If anything it made me faster because you didn't want to get tackled.

Jacob Lillyman (Warriors)

There was that streaker. He did it at our semi-final against the Wests Tigers in 2011 and then the same guy did it again in Origin in 2013. That is up there with the craziest things. It was not a pretty sight, I can guarantee you that, but that takes the cake.

Jai Arrow (Broncos)

I obviously wasn't involved but the thing that stands out for me the most was in 2012 when the Rabbitohs and the Roosters played each other twice throughout the season. The first time they played each other Sydney needed two tries in the last five minutes to win. It ended with them running the length of the field on the siren to win the game. It was that famous Anthony Minichiello try under the posts. They then met a few months later and South Sydney did the exact same thing back to them! I remember the Rabbitohs were down by two tries and scored twice in two minutes to steal the win. Adam Reynolds crossed and it was unbelievable. It was bizarre for almost the same thing to happen in each game.
