Melbourne Storm winger Marika Koroibete has taken an early quilty plea after he was charged by the NRL match review committee for a high tackle in his side's 14-12 Telstra Premiership Grand Final loss to the Sharks.

Koroibete collected Cronulla halfback Chad Townsend with a high shot just six minutes into the decider at ANZ Stadium, an action that was deemed careless with a grade one charge.

Koroibete will escape suspension with his early guilty plea (78 points), however the flying Fijian has already signed with Super Rugby club the Melbourne Rebels and will no longer be at the Storm in 2017.
