Jahrome Hughes made his Cowboys debut against the Dragons in Round 12.

The Melbourne Storm have added to their depth by securing three young guns in Cowboys duo Jahrome Hughes and Brandon Smith and Queensland Cup star Ryley Jacks.

Hughes, 21, played one NRL game for the Cowboys this season, having made his NRL debut with the Titans back in 2013, while Smith was named at hooker in the NYC Team of the Year after a strong campaign with the Cowboys.

Hughes has signed a two-year contract, while Smith joins the Storm on a three-year deal.

Jacks, a 24-year-old half, impressed for Melbourne feeder side Sunshine Coast Falcons and has signed a one-year deal.

Meanwhile 25-year-old Storm forward Slade Griffin has signed on for another season.
