Australian Jillaroos and NSW Women's captain Ruan Sims has created history by signing the first ever women's player contract at the premiership-winning Cronulla Sharks.
Already an ambassador at the club, Sims' contract means she'll be compensated for her role as a Sharks player.
"It's so exciting to be in a position where we'll be considered semi-professional and to be paid to play the game that we love," Sims said.
