Sharks celebrate a try during the preliminary final against the Cowboys.

NRL.com takes a look back at the season that's been, including our most viewed content on a week- to-week basis.

Cronulla ensured their place in the 2016 NRL Telstra Premiership decider with an emphatic win over reigning premiers North Queensland. While three late tries made the score more respectable for the Cowboys, they never looked likely of jagging the win. Chad Townsend responded from being hooked the fortnight prior to combine nicely alongside the brilliant James Maloney. The Sharks' win meant they'd qualify for their first grand final in a unified competition in 38 years. Unlike their grand final opponents, Melbourne weren't given an inch by the Raiders in their narrow victory. Jack Wighton's sin-binning and dodgy handling from winger Edrick Lee proved Canberra's downfall.
