Souths halfback Adam Reynolds against the Knights in Round 25.

South Sydney halfback Adam Reynolds has withdrawn from the 2017 Downer NRL Auckland Nines with hamstring tightness.

The 2014 premiership-winning No.7 and 2015 Nines champion was initially named in the Rabbitohs' squad for the two-day tournament but was ruled out as a precautionary measure.

There also may be some doubt surrounding Reynolds' participation in the annual NRL All Stars fixture on February 10 in Newcastle, as he has been named to start for the World All Stars alongside Wests Tigers playmaker Mitch Moses.

The Rabbitohs are yet to announce a replacement for Reynolds at this weekend's tournament.
