The Penrith Panthers and Parramatta Eels have named strong sides for this Saturday's trial match at Pepper Stadium.

The Panthers have named close to a full-strength side, with Kangaroos Trent Merrin the only big name to miss out. Bryce Cartwright will start at lock with Te Maire Martin joining Nathan Cleary in the halves.

Meanwhile the injured Corey Norman is out of an otherwise strong Eels line-up, with Kaysa Pritchard edging Isaac De Gois and Cameron King to the dummy-half role. Norman is expected to return from a hamstring injury suffered at the Auckland Nines for the Eels' season opener against Manly.
