The big men go large, a cash cow becomes a keeper and another major injury blow ahead of the bye rounds. Here are the success stories, flops and talking points to come out of this week's NRL Fantasy action.

Winners

There were some monster scores from some of the NRL's prominent big men this week, led by Cowboys star Jason Taumalolo (98 points, including 45 tackles, 219 metre and 10 tackle breaks) and Sea Eagles gun Jake Trbojevic (94 points, two line breaks, 42 tackles, 180 metres and a try).

Andrew Fifita (85) continued his excellent form for the Sharks with his best score of the season, Rabbitohs youngster Angus Crichton (77) looks more and more like a season keeper, Trent Merrin's revival continued with a 75 and Sam Burgess will be the most in-demand player for the bye rounds with 75.

Elsewhere James Tamou hit his first 70 of the season for Penrith against Newcastle, Akuila Uate did the same in an excellent display on the right wing for Manly, Mitchell Pearce went big again with 68 and Jack de Belin (64), Josh Papalii (62), Anthony Milford (62), Cameron Smith (61), Paul Vaughan (57) and Nick Cotric (56) all fired.

Losers

Eel's forward Nathan Brown's rib injury, score of 6 and $36,000 price drop all came at a terrible time for Fantasy coaches, with Brown previously looking one of the must-have players for the bye rounds, beginning in Round 12.

Panthers pivot Bryce Cartwright also scored 6 after leaving the field early with injury against the Knights, while popular cheapie Lewis Brown (3) and Jai Field (5) fared even worse.

Kane Elgey is again in definite sell territory after a score of 14, Bryan Kelly has now gone more than a month since his last decent score after making 18 against the Titans, while Jarryd Hayne's scoring struggled again at centre with just 20.
